I first discovered the brand though social media. One day I just happened to be scrolling when I came across an advertisement. It was about how the hoodies were made by a creator going through his own personal battles.

As a child I went through a lot. I experienced abuse physically, sexually, and verbally. As I got older depression started to take over my teen years. I struggled finding myself and maintaining friendships due to it. During COVID my depression hit deep. I began to find comfort in darkness due to being isolated from the world. That same year I lost my father, then I lost my brother a year later. I felt no matter what I would not win. I started to feel like my depression was going to win me over. From generations of trauma, I decided to be the one to break that curse. In 2023 I seeked help. I confronted my trauma and abuse. I learned to spot my triggers and how to overcome them. I am still learning, but it’s been over a year that I have not had depression and I am thankful for it.

When I face tough times, I turn to journaling. Being able to go journal allows you the ability to get every-time off your chest without needing anyone to hear it. Being outside for trail walks, in gardens, or at the River is calming.

You are stronger than what your mind may convince you to believe. Never feel alone, because there are others facing the same battles you are. You have a community. Never let anyone silence your trauma because you sharing your story can be the result of someone seeking help and comfort.
